Only in Calgary…

This is what I woke up to this morning:

Two days ago I was mowing my lawn because it had grown so much the week before – and this morning I’m shovelling heavy, wet snow. If you look at the tree on the far right, you can see it’s bent – the snow was so heavy it bent all the trees and shrubs in our backyard in half. Only in Calgary…

  1. That’s so…….. not funny. ๐Ÿ™

Here, the grass is green and the woods are too dry (forest fire warning where I live) so hopefully some rain will come this weekend. It’s quite unlikely for snow to precipitate around these parts in May, although looking at the GPS coordinates were more north than what you are.

Furthermore, we’re supposed to have around 21 degrees C on Sunday, which is kinda nice. ๐Ÿ™‚ Are they promising something warm for the weekend to melt that snow in Calgary? (I hope so) ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. To quote Dilbert, “gah!” I can’t imagine what it would do to this city if we had that much snow in May. People here already can’t drive in snow, but to have it in May would be chaos.

  3. it was like that here too
so lame…srsly there are broken branches everywhere
