These are our “day zero” photos, which was our travel and arrival day…although technically we lost a day and a half with the 15 hour time zone change and the 14 hours of travelling (including the layover in Vancouver) so this is more like day zero/one. Not a lot here in the way of interesting photos, but I share them with you nonetheless. ๐

Happy Birthday! Hope the trip is going well.
Kacey,
Thanks for the birthday wishes! I had a great birthday today! ๐
I’m looking through the gallery thinking, “man I suck, Jason has done more with his pics while he is still on vacation then I do after I get back”. Then I get to page two and see that you have also put video up as well. ๐
Seriously though, hope you are having a great trip and birthday!
Chris,
Don’t be discouraged, be encouraged to do more next time. ๐ I find that when I return from a vacation with 2000+ photos, it’s quite a crushing burden – I love taking pictures, and editing them, but when you have SO many to deal with…it sucks. The #1 reason I got this pimped-out XPS M1330 laptop was to have enough grunt to process photos rapidly when on vacation – and so far it’s working out really well. Although when it comes to processing video to h.264, I think I need a 6 Ghz eight-way processor for it to actually go fast. Sheesh transcoding to that format is a CPU suck hole!
