Everyone wants to give themselves to someone, to have a deep lasting relationship with another, to be loved thoroughly and exclusively.

But God says, "No, not until you are satisfied, fulfilled and content with being loved by me alone; to have an intensely personal and unique relationship with Me. Discovering that only in Me your satisfaction can be found and through Me alone will you ever be capable of the perfect human relationship I have planned for you. You will never be completely united with another until you are willing to be united, exclusive of anyone or anything else, exclusive of any other desire or longing."
